The 10 Best Travel Agencies in Portland (2026)
Portland’s travel scene includes everything from sightseeing operators to specialist agencies arranging honeymoons and custom itineraries. This list ranks local businesses using Google review data and a Bayesian-style score that weights average rating by number of reviews; the ranking was updated for 2026. We focused on measurable online reputation rather than personal inspections, so the results reflect what past customers reported on Google. Use this as a starting point to compare options, then contact agencies directly to confirm services, availability, and fees that match your travel plans.
This ranking is computed from Google reviews (our method). Listings marked Partner are paid advertising spots: they sit alongside the ranking without changing its order.

Frequently asked questions
How should I choose a travel agency in Portland?
Start by identifying what kind of trip you want—guided tours, custom itineraries, honeymoons, or group travel—and look for agencies that list that focus. Read recent Google reviews and check the number of reviews to judge consistency, then contact a few agencies to compare responsiveness, fees, and sample itineraries.
What do travel agencies typically charge?
Fees vary by service: some agencies charge a flat service fee, others include fees in package pricing or earn commissions from suppliers. Ask for a written breakdown of fees, any commissions, and cancellation policies so you can compare total cost across providers.
What should I check before hiring a travel agency?
Verify their current contact information and business listing, read recent customer reviews and how the agency responds, and confirm licensing or professional affiliations if relevant. Also request written terms for deposits, cancellations, changes, and insurance so expectations are clear before you commit.
