The 10 Best Pool Halls in Portland (2026)
This list is built from Google review data using a Bayesian-style score that balances average rating with the number of reviews, updated for 2026 to reflect recent feedback. The result favors places that are both highly rated and well-reviewed rather than those with a small handful of perfect scores. Portland’s cue-sports scene appears in many forms — dedicated pool halls, bar venues with tables, and mixed game rooms — and those options are sprinkled across the city. Use these results as a starting point for finding a spot that matches your preferred vibe, hours, and level of play.
This ranking is computed from Google reviews (our method). Listings marked Partner are paid advertising spots: they sit alongside the ranking without changing its order.

Frequently asked questions
How should I choose a pool hall in Portland?
Look at recent reviews for table quality, cleanliness, and hours, then pick a neighborhood that’s convenient. Consider whether you want a dedicated pool hall or a bar setting with tables, and check if the venue hosts leagues or tournaments if that matters to you.
What does it typically cost to play pool?
Costs vary by venue and time of day; many places charge by the hour for table rental while others may have a cover charge or per-game rates. Check the venue’s website or call ahead for current pricing and any special rates for off-peak hours.
What should I check before visiting or booking a table?
Confirm table availability and reservation policies, ask about equipment condition and whether cues and racks are provided, and review any house rules such as age limits or food-and-drink minimums. If you’re bringing a group, ask about capacity and any private-event options.
