Frequently asked questions
How should I choose a roofer in Portland?
Look for contractors with consistent positive reviews and a solid number of customer ratings, proper licensing and insurance, and clear written estimates. Check that they list a local address or service area and ask for references or photos of recent work before you commit.
What should I check before hiring a roofing contractor?
Verify the contractor’s license and insurance coverage, request an itemized written estimate, and ask about warranty terms for both materials and labor. Also confirm the expected timeline, any required permits, and how they handle debris and cleanup.
When is the right time to call a roofer?
Call a roofer as soon as you notice leaks, missing or damaged shingles, sagging sections, or after a major storm. For preventive care, schedule inspections or maintenance during drier months to identify issues before the rainy season.
